Here are some frequently asked questions.
What are sound packs/project files?
These will be a collection of some of my best music production sound files based around projects influenced by reggae, dancehall, afro-beats, or a fusion with other popular genres.
They will be provided as audio files (WAV format) from individual tracks (instrument recordings and other sounds). The packs may also contain individual samples or native DAW files for Logic Pro X or any other software used.
Will I get access to the full music production course?
Yes, you will be able to access the full course and all related files.
How many downloads am I allowed per month?
At the moment it will be 1 per month (the system resets your allowance 30 days from your first download). You’ll be able to search from my catalogue of all available project files or sound packs as well as any other exclusive files added to the membership.
There’s a monthly limit to keep things fair. If you need additional packs each month you can purchase at a 50% discount from the store.
I have no experience with music production, can I still take the course?
Yes!
I designed the course specifically for beginners. As long as you can follow the steps you will be fine.
There are videos to guide you from start to finish.
What downloads are going to be available?
There are about 15+ packs available from my previous project releases (some are in the store). Others will be added over the coming months on an ongoing basis.
You’ll be notified when new files are added to the membership
Will I be able to use the files in any DAW?
Yes, the audio files provided will be loadable in any other DAW as the file format will be universal (WAV).
MIDI files are sometimes provided which are also universal.
How can I use the project files?
You can use the assets in your own productions by changing things up and making them unique to you:
- Save presets for future use (if you have the same DAW or Plugin)
- Chop up audio and save as individual samples
- Re-purpose parts for other projects and save time
What you should NOT do is re-release projects ‘as is’, without making significant changes and making them unique.
Do you collect royalties on these projects?
The sounds, presets and samples can be used royalty-free inside other projects. The projects are not meant to be used as they are as these would infringe on copyright and terms of use.
